Jemma Wilkinson (she/her)

Jemma is a dedicated and accredited Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor Psychoeducation Facilitator and Founder of The Counselling College offering a range of services to support individuals and couples in their journey toward mental and emotional well-being.

 

Jemma came from a very different life before becoming a therapist, backpacking around the world and working in recruitment before returning to the UK where she she felt lost and sought therapy. Noticing the life changing difference it made she embarked on a mission to change the way we think about Mental Health and Therapy. Doing nothing by halves Jemma threw herself into her passion and went back to retrain gaining....

Qualifications 

  • First-Class Honours Degree in Counselling.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosis: Specialising in Psychosis.

  • Advanced Diploma in Clinical Supervision:

Modalities and Approach:

Jemma is an integrative psychotherapist, meaning sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Her modalities include:

  • Person-Centred Therapy: Focused on individual self-exploration and growth.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Solution-focused, addressing negative thought patterns and behaviours.

  • Existential Therapy: Exploring life's deeper questions, purpose, and meaning.

  • Psychodynamic Therapy: Understanding how past experiences shape your view on the world

  • Transactional Analysis: What is our story! What is our pattern?

  • CBT-p: A specific type of therapy shaped to support those experiencing Psychosis
